For one of bachelar thesis studies in our laboratory, we went to the Imbanuma Lake, Chiba.  It rained on the first day (to some extent as usual…), but weather was fine on the second day.  It was indeed difficult to catch our target fish, topmouth gudgeon, during our survey except the very last surveyed point. We thus needed to visit many different irrigation channels for sampling, and could learn a lot about the current situation of the lake in terms of agriculture, irrigation facilities, water environment and aquatic ecosystems.
